Is the song comedic or dramatic? My advice: the monologue should 1, play to your strengths and 2, if the song is comedic go with a dramatic/tragic
monologue or vice versa to show range- that you can take on the likes of both Lady MacBeth and Viola and 3, aim for material and a performance that makes them want to see you in the whole show or finesse you that way.
