with Eden Espinosa. Granted, I don't like girls (in that way). But I've watched her performance from Good Morning America this past Sunday everyday. She's very beautiful and seems very nice.
And the voice...OMG!!! She's amazing. It was incredible. I know alot of people have complained about BROOKLYN but she sang "Once Upon A Time" and she was phenominal. And when she's done with that show, Wicked producers need to get her back in the show SOMEWHERE.
Is the BROOKLYN cast album worth it to buy for her? Let me know...
I guess if you like Eden's voice, yeah. But other than that... hell no? It's... not great.
Since you're an Eden fan, I say get Brooklyn. Other than that, I saw the show and enjoyed it, but really think the cast recording kinda sucks. It's lacking energy and .... I'm with emcee..it's not a great recording. With those voices, it should have sounded better.
Eden is good...but truthfully Brooklyn left me with nothing and I thought that it has a stupid story line... But hey, some people love it, but if you are to see it or buy the CD, she is the only reason you should.

Another, Romana Keller is quite a reason to support Brooklyn. The woman's a powerhouse.
I agree, I also got the Brooklyn cast recording to hear Eden and while she impressed me alot, the recording itself did nothing for me. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't really anything memorable but if since you're a big Eden fan you'll be impressed by her solos and such in the recording. I'm not sure it's worth the money though...
The only reason I bought the cd is for Eden. The girl's got some pipes! But there's something weird about it. It's way too long for such a short show, I can't listen to the whole thing. Half of the songs could be cut. And all the dialogue really gets on my nerves. But you should buy it if you love her.

I saw that performance on GMA. Beau-ti-ful!
Shining moments in Brooklyn were truly with Eden. Her voice - good stuff! The show was sort of so-so, though. I really didn't take to it (or it didn't take to me, or it took me for all my money... something like that)
I really like -her- though, so if you have other recordings of hers, I'd get it. Though I do agree with MagictoDo82 (hee, hee... Pippin...!) as to the lack of energy on the CD. What the heck is up with that? No excuse.
I do look forward to seeing her in person, though, in a couple of weeks. (Dramaleague Awards - she's nominated for Brooklyn)
If you do get it, let us know your favorite tracks!
Ms. Espinosa will be at the Drama League Awards!
