I'm so excited. I MAY have made a connection in getting my work read. I wrote about it in my blog, so I don't want to re-detail everything here, but it's potentially good news. I know it may turn out to be nothing, but something is better than nothing!
Broadway Blog: Drop That Name!
NEVER talk about things that haven't been confirmed.
I can tell you, it's the quickest way to lose whatever it is.
Wait until you've signed a contract or you have worked for at least a week.
Thanks SO much for the input. I will hold onto that. My connection is hardly a deal . . . it's really a hope in the future, which is why I posted about it. I also left it general enough, I don't think anyone who might be that person would have a clue from what I wrote.
As I'm sure anyone who wants to do anything creatively on a larger scale can agree, I have been working for this for so long and so hard that I couldn't help but get excited when I had hope for something.
Thanks!

This is an honest question, with no malice intended. You say on your blog you've quit your job to make yourself available to move to NYC or LA if an opportunity arises. Have you considered actually moving to NYC or LA and then seeking out opportunities? I don't know where you are or what your situation is, but it seems like you might be better served to get yourself a little closer to the action, rather than rely on trying to make connections from where you are now.
It's all about the circumstances. I did A LOT of research and planning before quitting my job, expecting that I'd be able to get a new job before the end of last summer, with a Plan B in place. I think I'm on Plan E right now. :)
In part of that research, I learned the dangers of moving without employment . . . and my life doesn't allow for me to move on a job that pays $10 an hour . . .
I do believe it will all come together when the time is right, though.
Thanks for the input!
