I need a 1930s song
#0I need a 1930s song
Posted: 8/16/06 at 12:13amOkay, so I just got an offer to audition for a workshop and if I get in, I get the lead. Yay! Problem? I need a 1930s song. I'm a soprano, up the the C two octaves above middle C. It needs to be 1930s. I can fake belt and it sounds real up to about an E or F. No Anything Goes. Thanks!

"Begin the beguine"
"Who said gay paree?"
Both Cole Porter songs, paree is quite stunning and very unknown.

Posted: 8/16/06 at 12:55amI got a list of suggestions from the composer. I think I'll heed those, but thanks! I'll also listen to yours.
