I saw Spring Awakening last night and...

I loved it. I thought it was new, fresh and very well done. The cast had great energy and the music was awesome. The show itself is so simple, but the effect is perfect, it is exactly the kind of show that broadway needs right now. I kind of had my own "Spring Awakening" while watching, it brought back so many memories from my childhood.

I think this show has a good chance of grabbing the Best New Musical Tony. In fact, I hope it does.

I was there too, SD...and adored it. I agree about winning best musical, and will add score and perhaps direction. I also loved the design of the show...it lived up to all of the hype.
