I have to say, with all the cries of "this was temporary/ just slapped together" and "it is not her fault" - let's be real.
As anyone who has works in professional theater will tell you, there is no way in hell that image was not labored over, revised, and approved by MANY people... including Ms. LuPone because if she has she has stage manager approval in her contract, you bet your sweet bippie she has photo approval.

I thought the "ego filter" comment was funny. No one is pointing a finger at Ms. Lupone saying that she actually sat down and did this nor that she demanded it be done. It was meant as a tongue in cheek joke by Flaunt it because the image of Ms. Lupone sitting down and doing it herself is amusing. And it is. If you don't think it's funny that's one thing but there's really no need to rush to Ms. Lupone's defense. She's not truly being attacked. It's a joke.

I'm not sure if you were addressing me with this, but I do think it's hysterical to think of Patti playing around with Photoshop and coming up with that. I just felt the need to put out there that I don't exactly think Patti was in much need of Photoshopping. or...maybe something along those lines.
maybe I just wanted to let everyone know I think Patti's hot and I'd kiss her with tongue.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.
