Posted: 8/9/04 at 8:59pmDon't expect a revival of Follies too soon. The one just three years ago was a real stink-a-roo!

Great idea. Being one of the last remaining disciples of Michael Bennett he would be ideal. The only problem is that the show is too expensive to be mounted on Broadway maybe ever again -- the Roundabout was only able to do the last revival a couple of years ago because they operated under a LORT contract which made a limited engagement financially feasible (an open-ended run under a regular Equity contract is probably impossible under the current economics).
Perhaps Tune could make it happen elsewhere -- another LORT regional house? Vegas, since he's so well-connected out there? London? I'd love to see it if he ever did it.

Never saw original FOLLIES nor Papermill, but saw London and Roundabout. Roundabout was fabulous!
