Please console this to the main thread.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Capn...

you beat me to the punch (ooo, if only I could cyber punch!)

Capn, answer this question and I'll stop bashing you (even though it's so easy) WHY DO YOU CARE IF A NEW THREAD IS STARTED? what does it matter to you? You're not being charged 20 dollars each time a new thread is started!

well, i'm sure this is what capn'll say....but here's from me

It pushes other threads to the next page (other valuable threads)...also, it gets annoying when there is already one large thread discussing it...

also--doesnt it take up more badnwidth than replying would

hahahahahahaha It's HILARIOUS to read people preaching about the threads that we should and should not have. We should send them over the edge by seeing how many new threads we can create today - all about Idina of course

442,

To quote from the other thread, wish I guess you didn't read:

"WTF, 442? Again, the ignorant ass is wrong.

The purpose of consolidating to ONE thread is to deprave the regular visitors here at BWW of not seeing every other thread being WICKED-related. It gets quite annoying when all you see is WICKED and regulars, such as myself, has to try and find topics we wish to talk about.

And then because we can find no such topics, the WICKED-bashing begins.

So to save YOU from being bashed, console your thoughts to the same thread, please, unless you have a new topic to discuss."

442,

Creating multiple threads on the same topic clutters up the board and it's just a waste of space. All posts concerning Idina's injury and subsequent early removal from the show can all be contained in the thread with nearly 400 other posts on the same topic.

And in my own personal opinion, I feel you should really reconsider your treatment of other BWW.com members, especially those veterans such as Capn; that last thing you want is to be hated on this board due to your vocal dislike of other members.

And quite frankly, it's just plain rude. Peter Pan is one of my favorite musicals--the first one I ever saw as a child--and one of the best-known and most-adored musicals ever written. THe story of Peter Pan has been around for many many years and will continue to live on. Unless you've never heard the story, it's about a lot more than a boy who doesn't grow up.

Just think before you post next time. It's all I'm saying.

whatever and ever amen - ben folds five

I prefer small threads so you don't have to scroll through 100's of replies. And it sends blood pressure skyrocketing for Capn Hook!!

Is Ticketmaster issuing refunds does anyone know?

yes it does get annoying when people start threads on topics that have been posted a number of times but the people bitching about it can get just as annoying.

Because there is absolutely no reason for 5 threads to exist on the SAME topic. There is one large thread for this, use it! I normally disagree with the people who freak out over the large number of Wicked threads, but for this instance, updates are being made all the time, just use the one big thread...its easier! No one has to sort through all the mini threads. Good grief.

Idina's making an appearance at the show, so I doubt they'll offer refunds.

Sorry to bump up another thread (that is not the "Main thread"), but since a few people asked. I have heard that Ticketmaster is not offering refunds because the show has not been cancelled. The Gershwin IS offering refunds (we were there), no questions asked.

The Gershwin is offering refunds? Damn. When word of THAT gets out, the "Wicked" rush is going to be even crazier today.

Wasn't the show at three?

The rush WAS nuts !!! I asked a few people on the lottery and cancellation lines if they knew Idina was out. Some did... some didnt... and some didnt know who she was :))

They just wanted to see the show. Yep, Emcee... it was at 3. Totally lost track of time when I posted about the refunds. They were offering them PRIOR to 3 PM.
