Purchased a $20 ticket for In the Heights today - was pleasantly surprised to learn they were available. Last 3 rows of the rear mezzanine. All performances.
What day are you going yankee? I'll be there feb. 16 8pm.

The last 3 rows are quite fine. In fact, I'll take row F of the mezzanine over Row Z of the orchestra.

Yeah. I know sight line were bad for Tarzan, but I have a feeling In The Heights won't have people hanging from the rafters.
No those last 3 rows are not bad at all. I sat in those seats for Cyrano and they were great.
Good to know, I never saw this off-Broadway. Can't wait.
So glad to hear that this GREAT show has finally made it to Broadway! Enjoy it!!!

Thanks for the heads up.. I just got a $20.00 tix for IN THE HEIGHTS for 1st week of March-I got the same seats I had for Cyrano de Bergerac. I am fully booked for January till February. I am basically going to NYC everyweekends now...too many shows that will open... LOL!

Those last three seats in the REAR BALCONY are fine... you can see the stage...I will just bring binoculars...I paid $ 31.00 total ($20.00 tix plus fees)- cant beat that...

IN THE HEIGHTS have two stories building.. I think they have Balcony where she sings...I"t wont be long"... and you might not see the fireworks at the end.. top of GEO WASH bridge....if my memory serve me right.. I saw it last year on OFF-BROADWAY....I suggest dont get Orchestra row Z bec. of the overhang...

Do they give Playbills while a show is in previews?
Yes they do give playbills while a show is in previews.
i love these message boards! you responded in 11 minutes! thanks
Did any of you get your $20 tickets in times square; is the box office open yet? It kinda kills me to go online, buy a $20 ticket, then pay $10 for ticketbastard fees.
You stil have to pay restoration fee of $ 3.00- I think the only amount youre saving by not buying it online is $7.00 for the service fee...so I guess youre total if you buy it at the box office would be $23.00.

Also the reason why I decided to pay that extra $7.00 is I want an aisle seat.. I hate when youre sitting at the middle and you have to stand and let people in...I usually go to the theater 20 mins before the show starts- to use the bathroom and settle in (in my seat ) & read the playbill. I am easily 'tick off' when youre all settled and people come in late and you have to stand (sometimes even during an overture) ..specially during winter with all your coats..etc...

$21.25 at the box office.
I'm sure there offering these seats for 20.00 so people who actually live in the heights can afford to go. I live in the heights. We are poor here.

Do you think the overhang in row z will be a problem for this show. I know it was for Tarzan. I saw it from there when Tarzan was in previews and I think I only caught 25 % of what was going on.

I will go with MEZZ .. From what I remember there's a fireworks at the end at the top of Geo Washington Bridge and the sets (Washington Heights Neighborhood ) has second & third ..ala Sesame street Set)

I dont know the Broadway Sets... I am just basing it on what I saw at 37 Arts..

When did the restoration fee go up by $1.75?? Isn't it usually $1.25?

This is great news. I sat in the last row of the Rear Mezzanine for CYRANO and the view was perfect. I'm glad that affordable seats will be available.
BroadwayAbridged, the box office isn't open yet; Cyrano's last show is today, so obviously that show's box office is still there.
Does anyone know when we should expect the BO for In the Heights to open, though?

They have been selling tickets to IN THE HEIGHTS for almost two weeks now at the Rodgers box office, while still selling CYRANO tickets.
Ooh, really? Obviously I'm an idiot; I didn't know they did that! I'll have to go by there, then.
