Hey guys! I have a spring concert in May for choir. At our spring concert we can audition for solos, duets, etc.. We also always have a theme and this year it is broadway. We are doing a song from a broadway musical from the 1950s,1970s,1990s, and 2010s. My friend and I(2 females) are wanting to do a duet and need some ideas from broadway during those years. Has to be school appropriate! Thank you in advance!

Not sure what your vocal ranges are, but the first song that occurred to me was “For Good” from Wicked.

Bosom Buddies from Mame is a pretty great female duet, a friend and I wanted to do it in our Thespian Troupe's revue our senior year but ended up doing Together (Wherever We Go) from Gypsy with a third friend instead. But I did check and it seems like both the original Broadway production and Revival were in the 60s and 80s, respectively, so if you're specifically looking for 50s or 70s it might not work. But it is a good one.

Oops. Wicked opened in 2003. So “For Good” might not meet your criteria, either.
