haha why would she make it up?!
I would take her to see mary Poppins or Lion king over The Little Mermaid, they are both better productions. I think a lot of In the Heights would be over her head. I agree that Hairspray is another one to consider. Personally, I don't think Cry baby is appropriate for a 6 year ld, but yet again most of it will be over her head. A chorus line is not appropriate.
Sorry about that last post. I guess I deleted part of it accidentally.
Okay, so what I said was that my kids didn't care much for Wicked but they loved Grey Gardens. They still talk like the Edies sometimes! And they actually request that I play the CD in the car. (I took my daughter to see it twice.)
My parents started taking me to see Broadway shows when I was 3 so that's when I started with my kids.
And, yeah, why on earth would I make up something like THAT? If I were going to "make something up," I would tell everybody I have a Tony Award! DUH!
I just remembered...my children also enjoyed Sunday in the Park with George.
That's all they have seen in terms of the shows currently on Broadway. I'm taking them to see South Pacific on August 2.
They've seen many other shows, but nothing that's running now. Last night I took them to the ballet. That's what we do.

Miss pennywise, I just want to point out that I think you're fabulous.
Aww, Volley, you're so sweet. Thank you.
You might like to know that they saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 6 times! They truly adored that show...especially Norbert and Greg.
After watching the Tonys on Sunday night, my son asked me if we could see ITH again in July. Today he informed me that he wants to see it "six more times."
I say, go for it...if you can get tickets anymore!

I did end up taking my daughter to ith - she LOVED it - wants to go back - I'm conservative by nature - it was a visual feast
