Posted: 5/28/10 at 10:08amSOOOO AMAZING!!!! Everyone was really good last night. I love Sabrina Sloan way better than MArcy, and I'm a pretty big Marcy fan. The girl who played Nina looked more youthful than the original, but she definitely has a really strong voice. The only person who I thought was lacking was the dad, I think I just don't like the character, but his voice wasn't as strong as the one from broadway. Also I totally thought Daniella was a dissapointment until Carnaval del Barrio. Her accent sounded so cheesy, and her voice was always so nasally and high pitched, but then that song she blew it out of the park. I know a lot of people said they don't like the Carla on tour, but I thought she was fine. Anyways, if you are in the Bay Area, go see ITH!!!

Posted: 5/28/10 at 11:31amI saw the show on Broadway (more times than I like to admit), and for me it was fantastic to see the national tour cast. It doesn't feel like a carbon copy of what's on Broadway - the characterizations bring a different feel to a lot of it. I saw things in the show on tour that I didn't see before. The dynamics between characters and family is different, and it's like you see their "world" from a slightly different angle. I think that means it's a show that is well put-together. Anyway, it's awesome and totally worth the price of admission.
