I will still be in Russia for the auditions, but I was just putting this out there for people who might want to/be able to audition. Even if you're not German, German productions are very international and hire actors from all over the world. Kisha Howard (OBC Wicked - Ensemble) is in Stuttgart's "Wicked" in the ensemble now, along with another American. Stuttgart's Morrible u/s is Swedish. Stuttgart's Elphaba's Mother is British. There are a few other British people as well as some Australians, plus a few Austrians (their Nessa is Austrian) and some Dutch people too (their Elphaba is Dutch). Don't be discouraged if you're not German. If you're in Germany at that time, I'd say go for it, even if you speak barely any German. If you're in Germany/Denmark/Netherlands/Belgium/Austria/Switzerland at that time, take a train to Hamburg and audition, IT WILL BE WORTH IT! Even if you don't make it, auditioning for a show in a foreign country is still pretty cool.

That's what I love about theatre in Europe...it's a true international community of artists. The recent Elisabeth revival in Vienna featured Austrian, German, Hungarian, Swedish, American, Dutch, British, and likely many other cast members.

ETA: And if people do read it here, then the OP has provided them with information.

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

Oh, is a translation needed?

I will translate.

For the cast-change in February 2009 in TUI Opera House, Hamburg, we are looking for:

Excellent actors
with excellent rock / pop voices that can move well.

Lisa Wartberg (35-45); well-known television presenter. Tall, slender and attractive. Charismatic and intelligent (street-smart), can think strategically and uses her head more than their instincts. In crisis situations, she prefers things to go into their own hands. Outstanding actress with a strong comedic talent and first-class, high-mezzo voice with secure Belt.

Axel Jam Roof (35-45); Tall, charming, attractive and reliable man with a sense of humor, likes to have fun in life and has a varied, happy single life, but the desire for a serious relationship is unfulfilled. Excellent actor, humorous and with an excellent, high lyric baritone voice.

Maria Wartberg (60-75), mother of Lisa. A funny, sprightly and humorous Senior (not high-school/college senior, they are talking about an older woman) who does not get it (I think that they are trying to say that she is a bit forgetful at times). Excellent actress and comedienne with safe mezzo/alto singing voice.

Otto Jam Roof (60-75); Axel's father, retired. He initially seems more vulnerable than he is in truth. Maria takes him out of his lethargy and he discovers that the future has much more in store for him. Excellent actor with a good baritone singing voice.

Fred Hoffmann (30-35); Lisa's best friend and confidant - and her stylist. He is happily in love with the younger Costa. Fred is eccentric and an extrovert and enjoys the constant attention. Very good character actor and comedian with excellent high-baritone voice.

Costa Atonidis (20-30); Greek. Leads recording (I think he's some sort of recording technician) and Fred's Lover. He loves life and love. In Fred, he has found someone whom he can trust. Handsome actor with sporting character and very good singing voice.

Master (35-50), Large, handsome, impressive man of integrity and stature with irresistible charm. Radiates dignity and authority. Actor with an impressive appearance and a good singing voice.

Steward (25-40); eager, good cabin steward, courteous and friendly; acts by his excessive zeal and sometimes works a little odd. Excellent actor with comedic talent and a very good singing voice.

Ms. Menzel (haha; like Idina) (30-40); hardworking and diligent employee of a travel agency. Good-natured and helpful, but works properly and with zeal. Very good actor with comic talent and very good singing voice.

Ms. Dünnbügel (35-50); Strong and resolute leader of the seniors' home. Lives with iron (strict) rules and expects the same of the residents of her home. Character actress with very good singing voice.

-------------------------------------------------- ----------

Also:

Very good dancers
with safe base (training) in ballet and jazz and great adaptability to different styles and very good rock / pop voices and acting talent

Very good singer / actor
with drama and dance experience
