I've loved Defying Gravity since I first heard the clip on the show website. And Idina is the perfect one to sing it. Following in her shoes will be pretty tough to do for any future replacements! Had to laugh when I read whoever commented on her huge mouth on the Letterman show!! When I saw her in Aida 2 years ago, that was my initial impression of her too. As she belted out the power notes of the opening song with her sparkly purple lipstick, I leaned over to my daughter and said something eerily similar about the largest mouth I'd ever seen. But God gave her that mouth for a reason. She puts her heart and soul and being into every note.

When I saw her on Letterman, I loved the song, but thought the intro with the witch hunters was a little weird and out of place. It was a great way to showcase Idina. I was sort of glad Kristin wasn't there just for that reason. I thought the flying thing on the tv spot was a little weak - just didn't carry the full effect. However, when I saw it performed on stage - I was completely blown away. The way the dress filled the space was terrific. Took my breath away.

I loved every minute of the show. It flew by. Wish I could get back to NY to see it again.
