I was going to say... I cannot imagine any respected journalism professor encouraging you to use an open message board as your survey sample. How can you apply any parameters or extract any meaningful analysis using anonymous strangers on the internet who do not provide you with their gender/age/etc.?

To clarify my first answer - you asked 'do you like Idina Menzel', but i answered the question I assumed you meant:  'do you like Idina Menzel's work?'.  I don't know her personally and therefore neither like nor dislike her as a person.  But i do like her performances (singing/acting).
