Idina Menzel and her "flying machine"

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:35pmWell, flying would mean that she'd have to sit on the broom. They could have harnessed her up, but then she would've been flying -and- concentrating on making the broom look good -and- steadying herself -and- belting. OR they could have suspended the broom, and...I wouldn't trust the broom, especially because it's hollow and extremely light. I just think it would be too hard.

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:40pmIt would look awsome though. What about just having her lipsync and play a recorded track over that part of the show?
re: Idina Menzel and her 'flying machine'#78
Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:42pmthat just seems so...wrong, you know? Is it really worth not hearing her actually hold like the greatest note in the entire show just to see her fly?

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:46pmI want to answer yes but deep down inside I think I would rather see her sing for real.

at least you're honest :)
plus, if she screws up or something, you get to go home and post on this board all about how Idina Menzel f****d up the high note in defying gravity

Posted: 7/14/04 at 7:39pmWell, of course. I wanna see the most spectactular show I can even if there not really singing like in Disney on ice.

Posted: 7/14/04 at 8:11pmI love her flying machine, if we shall call it that. The way she waves her arms looks like she's soaring in the air. I don't think it's cheesy at all, and I would rather have her do this than fly all over the place. At least this way, we get a good look at her singing.
