I was just at an audition at Ripley Grier and after my audition I saw Norm Lewis in the hallway and he walked into a door that had a paper that said a star is born and it also add a schedule that said all these songs and it said Idina Menzel and company under one and it said Norm Lewis under one and Leigh Ann Larkin under one. Anybody know what this for?

I posted a message about this on Leigh Ann Larkin's fansite. She, along with Idina and a few other great Broadway actors, is participating in a reading based off of the 1954 Judy Garland film. They are presenting it on Friday night.

It's more than likely a closed workshop for producers/backers and for the creative team. Also, the guy who played Hollis in "Road Show" is in it - and not Gavin Creel.
Dear God, no. Way to ruin a classic role and a gorgeous Harold Arlen and Ira Gershwin score. Guess it's going to be a contemporary take with (probably) lots of new LaChiusa music. Ugh.
Funny there hasn't been any press on this. After Spacey pulled out (smart decision, maybe??), there's been no word on who'll play Norman Maine.
