hey could you guys share your Idina meeting stories? I'd LOVE to hear them. I apologize if I get a little jealous. :) thanks guys!

UGGH Heather!- ur only gonna get jealous and then say to me-I hate these people who meet her! lol but since u asked HERE GOES!!

Okay so im at the Stage door before the show and i asked a guy that walked out if Idina was in yet...he came out and said "she's not signed in yet" and i got all happy. Then my dad was talking to the guy who did lighting for the show and they were making jokes of how much i LOVED it and saying-- geez ur that obsessed but NEVER saw it! AND THEN.....I see Idina walk up the street on a cell phone, being the good respectful fan that i am i didnt run up to her on the phone, but instead she turned around and walked away from me---so then lyk 3 minutes later she walked BACK to me and was going to go in the stage door so i said .. "Idina, could you stop for a picture?" and she said in a sweet little voice "sure, do you have it ready?" and then my dad accidently snapped the picture because of his dumb digital camera and we were laughing and she said "Its ok! just take another!" and then she ave me a lil hug and said "I love your shirt!" to me like 4 times and we told her what row we were in (right orchestra 3rd row) and she said. Ok c ya! and THEN after the show i went to the stage door and took more pics of her and Joey and Michelle and JLT but the ones of JLT didnt come out and i got a bunch of autographs! and thr whole cast loved my shirt!!

JLT said "Hey cute shirt!"
Michelle Said "I like your shirt"
Joey also said he liked the shirt! and i told them all they did a great job

LOL wow i type alot that only took me like 10 minutes haha

LilElphaba - that was you with the shirt? She told me about it backstage, but I left at intermission so I never saw it.

ive met her a couple of times...i waited before the show once and she was very nice, but didnt want pictures because she had just come from yoga and "was all gross." the second time was over the summer in Bryant Park, during the Dancing For Life concert. I was jogging and accidentally bumped into her. I apologized....when I realized who it was, she was more than happy to sign an autograph.

what shirt did you have? haha that sounds really wierd.
was someone on this board in the the ensemble or something? i thought i heard a rumor

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

FYI - I checked Idina's website today and there was a message saying check back on Monday (thought don't know which Monday) because she wants to test out some of her music live--"trying new things" I believe is what the website said. Just thought I'd let all you lucky new yorkers in on it, since I'm on the West Coast (doh!).

Me and Idinas BIGGEST fan wore the same shirt on different days (we're best friends) im not sure wich one u saw-if it was in November you saw me, and i think it might have been because she saw me before the show.

edit: yea im pretty sure it was me, because she saw heather AFTER the show and i saw her BEFORE it-and if she saw it after the show then you wouldnt have know about it yet because you'd have left already....yea ya get it-it was me

But, to be honest, she's mentioned it a few times - a few ppl have - about funny shirts so it may not have been you!

the shirt was green and had 5 pictures of Idina-HERE cover in the middle, It said Idina Menzel as Elphaba--uhh....my hair was down and curly and i had black pants and GREEN SOCKS...that she didnt see because my black pants were too long.and a black sweatshirt jacket that matched the black pants! LOL

A lot of ppl wear green shirts with pictures of her on them.

The best was some1 made a doll like Idina and sewed it onto her shirt.

Me and Heather "Idina's BIGGEST fan" were thinking of making a book with pics and fan letters for Idina. WE cant think of anything, do u have any ideas? WE really want to give her a nice gift.

Someone made a little green elphaba in the defying gravity clothes and sewed it to a black shirt - it looked like the defying gravity scene she said

I had this line stuck in my head ALL DAY

and my language teacher was giving us a test and a word was esteem and shes like...blah blah blah held it in high esteem...and im like WHEN PPL SEE ME THEY WILL SCREAM! lol

lol-people think im obsessed too-but they also think its cool how im getting into broadway. i dont know if you saw the board but someone was like, at least she's not ripping her clothes off at an Eminem concert. But yea my friends know i love it and i have a folder for all my drawings- i drew the fight in the cornfield scene, minus the faces because i didnt wanna mess up. It came out awesome though-I mean i cant help it. me and heather are consantly talking about how much we love Idina and wish we could talk to her, like for more than 3 seconds lol
and Taye is hot LOL i had to add that.

Well,

She's cool - you're better off meeting her before the show - but that's rude - very rude - so you shouldn't come.

Leave the show early and get a good spot on line!
