Idina's Last Show....

Ok, not taking any chances this time !!! Saw "Wicked" Friday nite, but so pissed that I didnt have tix for today's show. From all accounts, it sounds like a day at the theater that all that attended will never forget.

Just bought tix for Jan 2nd, 2005.. which is supposed to be Idina's last. And if it doesnt turn out to be...oh well, just an extra trip to see the show !!! Nabbed the last "partial view" seat that was left, and got a rear mezz. Wife and I will switch at intermission. We both want to see some of the action from close up to see facial expressions.

Also read on KC's forum that there is a chance that she might come back to play Glinda around the holidays. (before Idina is scheduled to leave).

That would be awesome !!

But if she came back, that would mean this afternoon's going away party on stage with an audience would have been for nothing! lol

I have heard rumors about Kristin returning to the role for a short time during the holidays and Idina's last, but the other day when I was at the stage door, I asked Kristin if they were true and she replied, "No I don't think so... sorry". So I was disappointed to hear that but I guess she's got too much going on to do that.

yeah I was hoping for that too...at one point I thought it would happen but I'm not holding my breath now. I really don't understand wh they wouldn't want to go out together though. Oh well, I'll be there either way. I'm in BB 5 :)

I'll be there two, with my good friend, who will one day be on Broadway (incredibly talented). Unfortunately, we're both poor so we're rear balcony. Oh well, we'll both be crying so hard that we'd be a distraction to Idina and Jennifer.

eh don't say I don't like how that sounds...Idina and Jennifer Haha I'm front row. I can't imagine being as bad as I was on Sunday though...Sunday was horrible.

Why does that sound so bad b/c it isn't Kristin? I doubt she'll be as great as Kristin, but give her a chance. When you say bad, you don't mean that you thought the show was bad, right? I really hope it's as emotional. That just sounded like a show that I really shouldn't have missed...:'(

It's only July - *so* much could happen between now and January. I'd be surprised if any decisions have been set in stone just yet....

According to Playbill.com, she had signed on (her and Joel Grey both before he became ill) until Jan 2nd, 2005. Per the Gershwin box office, that date is supposed to be her last. Of course, she could always extend, but dont want to take any chances. Majority of seats for that date are already sold out.

To the people wondering about the rumors about her coming back, Kristin posted the following on her website official forum

"And please....don't count me out from the girl in Pink (and Blue and every other color). You never know......Glinda is a girl that doesn't take no easily....especially during holidays"
