Okay, so I'm not that stoked about it, (and I know I'm contradicting myself here,) but I am just so glad that everyone has stopped the "Idina I worship you" thing that went on here the last coupl'a weeks. Not that that's a bad thing, but after reading 20 bazillion posts on the SAME thing it gets a wee bit old...FAST!
Yeah, but how many days until we get the inevitable "Is Shoshi better/worse/equal to Idina?", "Is the OBC coming back for a reunion??????", "Does Idina miss Wicked?", "Petition for Idina to come back to WiCkEd!!!!!!!" threads?
Heh heh.. indeed. and, intestingly enough..I posted this at 4:28 my clock, and at 4:36 it had 25 viewings. Perhaps it's the word Idina that attracks people.???
OMG, Tiff, a PETITION!! BRILLIANT idea!!! If we got a lot of signatures, there's no WAY she'd say no and disappoint her fans, right????????????????
Yes, Tiff. Exactly. And... I don't want to be a b*tch, but this IS another Idina thread, with no real purpose. In essence, it's doing the same thing by just being on the board.
Indeed, thusly, the contradiction.I admit it..this thread is pointless and worthless, But I don't mind. I'm bored, have no homework and am nervous for my audition tonigh. I'lldowhatIwant! Love ya all!!!
Will Spamalot be the new show to hate? Will the thousands of Monty Python fans (not necessarily theatre fans) storm the boards? Now don't get me wrong, I love Monty Python but I realistically I can see this becoming the next Wicked. Hopefully it will become the next Producers.
I really doubt if Monty Python fans will fall into the same category as the Wickedites. My theory is that the show hit a very vulnerable nerve with young teenage girls, who are going through the awful transition from being strong, confident little girls to insecure, self-hating teens. That chemistry won't be repeated with a show like Spamalot.
take cover there just reloading there guns the crazy for wicked fans will reten.how knows what there going to love now.
They will all cuddle at home with thier original cast recordings and pray nightly to the shrine of Idina they have in the closet. :) Just kidding... but I don't know about Spamalot. I LOVELOVELOVE monty python, so I can't wait for it to be a hit, but I think they might pull in alot of non-theatre fans who like monty python...like my dad. He's expressed intrest in theatre...which is kinda crazy seeing as he didn't even come to my ONLY proffessional show to date.!!!!
this post is just as bad as being an idina worshipper
Sucks what happened to Idina, but I;m sure it got her departure from the show more publicity. Don't get me wrong I am not implying it was a publicity stunt in anyway, just commenting on the UP side of the whole ordeal.

I don't think it's bad. I love Idina as a singer and performer SO MUCH and love wicked to death and everything and I am certainly NOT glad she is gone and want to see her back... eventually. But you can't deny the fact that hopefully the 10000 posts a day about it will be gone.
I'm as big of an Idina/Wicked fan as the next person but I am glad that the HUGE tide of Idina posts and threads has subsided a little. Of course I commend her greatly for her work on Wicked and I'm glad her injury wasnt serious but I dont think it was so serious that people needed to start posting threads acting like she was on her deathbed etc. I'm glad its died down a little.
I love how the people who are sick of all the Idina threads, are now starting them!! Grow up people.
