He was fired, Beachie. Plain and simple. And he IS a nice guy, I hear. Just oversteps his bounds.
Also, I don't think his leaving the show will affect ticket sales in the slightest. The cast of Mamma Mia doesn't sell tickets to the show: ABBA does. Just so with Good Vibrations: the lure of the Beach Boys' music will sell the tickets, not names and certainly not runner-up American Idols.

Word. Word, indeed.

I hope Justin is well and that we find out why he really left the show. I wish the rest of the cast congratulations on their new show.

Hey B.B if this boards foundation is whining, bitching and kvetching, how about being a little menchlach occasionally too!
Justin is the epitome of graciousness, and anyone who knows him knows that he conducts himself like a gentleman, trys to stay positive, learns, grows and keeps trying to pursue his dream of entertaining and bringing happiness to people.
He doesnt whine, he doesnt kvetch, and he doesnt insult.
Hes a really nice sensitive well brought up guy.
Anyway, we hope we hear good news soon
Meanwhile, you want to buy a couple of G.V tickets!

BB, Have to disagree w/ you on quite a few things.
First of all, how is it exactly that you supposedly know all this about GV? Excuse the bluntness, but I think you're feeding this board a load of calculated crap.
IF you had a friend who worked him on the beach movie, I don't see how one the stars of the movie can be considered as overstepping his bounds. If anything, the movie could have used more of him and less of the secondary characters. Guarini was certainly good enough. The secondary characters were fine, but they weren't the draw.
Also, it is absolutely possible for a powerless newcomer to be strong armed and threatened by a powerful record company and by a management company with conflicting interests (and unheard of control) over a whole group of performers from one source.
As for the Guarini, only saw him and the others on the AI tour. He was the far superior overall performer. No question. The rest looked like amateurs (albeit some were moderately good amateurs) next to him.
I wish him well.

So funny how so many peopel know soo much about Justin.
BB seems to know how much of a whiny complainer he is...
Justin's devoted fans know how gracious he is...apparently a true saint..(get over it...you're trying way too hard guys)
Isn't it more likely that Justin, just like all of us, has his moments of graciousness and his moments of bitchiness? None of us know for an absolute certain why he left. What we know is that the show did not center around him. It will survive or die based on its own merits.
Hopefully JG will move onto something more personally satisfying. And we can quit having these endless postings by JG cults..

The show doesn't center around him? Do a Google news search for Good Vibrations and see whose name comes up. But then he's the only person in the show who generates any kind of buzz. Maybe since he is gone the other actors can get a little attention. Funny how when the show was first announced people said nobody will wantto see it. Now its people will see it because it's a Beach Boy musical? Well, at least we don't have to endure the slings and arrows of the Broadway board anymore.

Peronally I don't know the guy. Really couldn't care less if he's nice or not. Saw him once on the AI tour (which I was dragged to). He was an exceptional performer. For whatever reason, he's now an exceptional performer trying to find his niche.
For that reason, the anti-cult movement annoys me more than the pro-cults. So, occasionally the finger needs to be pointed their way. Especially when it reeks of calculated crap.

Dear Kandi...you seem to be confusing being the center of publicity with being the star of the show. JG, while garnering a lot of media attention, was not even a lead. I have nothing against JG or his fans, but after reading a million teeny-bopper postings about the wonders of Justin, it will be nice to read reviews and thoughts from people who can get over their kiddie crushes and make objective postings.

jarrett's my new hero.
and BB, he wasn't fired. Ask your insider friend for the facts, if she's such an insider

Good- now we won't have to hear from the AI/Justin fanatics for awhile.

For the record, I'm not a teenybopper with a kiddie crush. Just a person who loved seeing Justin perform and was looking forward to coming to NY to see him and some other shows. But that's all over now. Don't worry I have no more reason to post. I just want to find out the reason this happened.

ummm? i had not heard he was Fired not in any press at all? so that is quite a jump to say that...
last week, the press reported that Justin was in Final talks for a Record label, so i had a feeling that he might want to back out of Good virbations! my guess is it was Justin's choice and actors do that all the time...
Mr. Wolf man... to say Justin's Cd was Marketed or Promoted is like saying Santa Claus Exist! He had No distribution and they only made 140,000 cd's once those were gone after a month or so it was Impossible to find his cd only online stores that is it! Virgin records and Target etc.. all said they were Out of stock and sold his cd's and Rca was not filling anymore orders they did Not make enough to meet demand! need i repeat myself all the time!
BMG and many record companies are being now investigated for Payola by the gov. that made news a few weeks ago! i guess Broadway people are Nieve about the Music Industry that is not shocking they live in their Broadway bubble! LOL>>
i'm over my 100 words gotta go !
nite to all...hi to Broadway Matt and to a few nice people on this board ! lol..

Justin's mother was in chat last night on his website and said that Justin is happy and left GV on good terms. She hinted that he left because of another project and said something should be forthcoming next week. So good luck to Justin.
We have been told so many times that Justin had a minor role in this show so maybe his absence won't affect it but a lot of his fans are calling to cancel their ticket purchases.
