If it had been announced a while back that nothing was going to be planned for the st.james after proudcers leaves. Do you think that disney would look into that theatre for eiather mermade or as a place to move beauty and the beast?

No because of the one princess rule.
No way.
BEAUTY is 100% closing and MERMAID already has the Lunt booked.
The St. James would be a nice home for the FOLLIES revival.
One Princess Rule? Is this a fabrication or rumor, or has this actually been in print as fact?
...it's a joke .
If Frankenstein takes The Hilton (Quite likely, though a bad move on their part. I don't see it doing as well as The Producers.) I believe The St. James would be a lovely home for Follies.
I don't care that the FOLLIES revival probably isnt' going to happen...I've already made up my mind that it is.

That makes two of us.
1. saw a reading of frankie, MUCH better than the producers. gonna be a huge hit.
the hilton will provide 400 extra paying seats and room for the huge set.
2. Grinch took measurements of the st. james this week.
The one princess rule is clearly something they made up. I look at it as thier way of comming up with something to pass for a semi legit reason why they were closing beauty instead of Tarzan.
But, I am convinved that the Follies revival is not going to happen just as much as they aren't going to bring the wiz to broadway.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong. But, isn't the Grinch going to be another holiday thing again like it was last year?
And, does anyone think that they could do this show at the garden. In the past few years during holiday times there never has been any new years or holiday show. They just do the tour and that's it. I know that the theatre at MSG is getting a cirq du soli show. But, I think that they could do this at the garden itself? Or is it too big?
it is just a seasonal thing and the garden is way too big. also with the knicks, rangers, and concerts there is no way they could take over the garden.
I heard it is rumored that "Are you on the Boards" will take the St. James.
I think Follies will happen. LoveMusik is not going to transfer, making Donna Murphy, hopefully, available. I really enjoyed LoveMusik, but as Munk said in his review (, it's sort of like a bastard child to Follies (Brilliant comparison Munk. It made my day.). Nobody got it when I was there. It was sort of an "I liked it because it was directed by Hal Prince and starred to really great actors" reaction not a "Wow! That was great!" reaction. I gave it the latter reaction, though.
So, Follies may be the one snagging the St. James if Mel and Company don't take it.

Well if Grinch is indeed taking the St. James for the fall, then that gives enough time for a limited run of Follies. I'd rather YF go into the Hitlon. That theater hasn't seen a hit in awhile, and leave one of the better theaters, the St. James, open to other shows.
Why oh why must we see The Grinch again? Once was enough.
