I currently have about 3 different concepts and synopsis' for original musicals. If I get further along, I may share. But, people, come on now. Original Musicals need a come back! Not biographies and musicals based on movies!

Not for the stage, but a movie about the Mamas and the Papas. Their music was great, and there was sooo much drama.

I think a legitimate musical inspired by the life and career of Britney Spears could be great source material using her music. I can see it now: "Lucky - The Musical." Not gonna lie, I assembled an iTunes playlist with characters and scenes and stuff.

How many times do we have to go back over the same tiresome point that musicals have always been an adaptive form since their first appearance.

I think DOWN WITH LOVE is a great idea. Shaiman and Wittman are already connected, surely.

I think FERRIS BUELLER would make a great show.

And weird as it sounds, I think PSYCHO could make a hell of a bodice-ripping modern operetta! (Heck, it worked for Carrie...)

I would vote for a original idea. I am so tired of shows from movies and jukebox musicals.
