Soooo you are into fear mongering to prove your point?
And how about you stand up for yourself? *I* dont work for a union, heck i dont even work for a company i work on my own, get jobs on my own (or through friends help) my worth is based on an open fair market. if a company is willing ot pay for me they get my services, if not i look elsewhere.
Unions imho were very good when they started. But now often strong arm people. My sister in law is in a teachers union and i have very little sympathy when they "have to start paying a bit for medical".
Now again i have not taken a "side" in this ... because in all honesty i do not know enough about it to say either way but to say "if you dont support us and our strike you support republicans" ... is utter nonsensical scare tactics.

I wish I could say I approve of unions but You need only look at My home state and its history with unions.
They treated Oklahoma like mud on the bottom of Their shoes ...UNTIL the Movie and Space industries began to eye the state as a fertile new place to do things.
Then and only then did They become interested in Our state, They pushed hard and were uncompromising. When they forced a vote everyone said NO! those guys showed little interest in Oklahoma's workers before but when the smell of money wafted out the bosses demanded it.
True to form the Movie industry backed away and the Space business is smaller than it was planed to be now, and Oklahoma is back to being unimportant because the goose was slain before it could produce a single gold egg.
I do not want to hate unions, I do not want to hate anyone but Their message is being lost in a haze of "forget what is in it for the workers, what is in it for ME?".

In the spirit of Christmas, let us remember the Christmas gifts they give us
I fondly recall, as do many merchants, the havoc caused by the TWU a few years ago.
When unions ecomically impact and threaten someones livlihood
or job (they are innocent bystanders) I have a problem.
An firefighter was seriously injured & hospitalized for sometime because a bike he was riding got sideswiped by a bus. His career as a firefighter is now over & I believe he is suing the TWU . He was riding the bike because of the TWU strike. Collateral damage?
