Go to J&R music downtown.
I was there yesterday, and they have some pretty insane sales. Of course, all the new releases are between $12.99 and $14.99, but there are some older shows on sale for $5.99.
Things like WEST SIDE STORY, COMPANY, ON THE TWENTIETY CENTURY, A TREEE GROWS IN BROOKLYN, IRMA LA DOUCE, etc. There are literally dozens of great shows for literally nothing.
Just a heads up - I don't know how long it lasts, as J&R's sales seem to be constantly changing.

Are all of these the Sony issues? Or are they the Prism releases from the U.K.
The Prism series is a good cheap way to get classic CR's from before 1955 (Damn Yankees and Silk Stockings are out) but the sound on the SOny remasters of classics like SOUTH PACIFIC and KISS ME KATE is so much better.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

They have those "sale" prices on their website, too!
Too bad they don't ship internationally... I'd have loved to get some CRs!
