Tribal Council was as follows:
Rent- 1
Avenue Q- 8
Gypsy- 1
Little Women- 1
Aida- 1
It appears that winning in an upset Best Musical Tony could not save "Avenue Q".
The shows remaining:
Caroline, or Change
Wicked
Gypsy
Rent
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Hairspray
Little Women
The Boy From Oz
Taboo
Nine
Aida
Phantom of the Opera
Time for immunity challenge number three. The FIRST person to CORRECTLY PM me the answer to the question (along with the show they wish to save) will be immune from eviction of the game. Since "Nine" won immunity last time, it is ineligible to receive this one. Here's the question:
Today, it was announced that "Sweet Charity" would indeed make it to Broadway. How many TOTAL nominations and how many TOTAL wins has "Sweet Charity" garnered at the Tony Awards?
Good luck!
nevermind
Radio- what is this Immunity Challenge?
This is part of "Broadway Survivor". Do a search and you'll locate all of the threads!
Anyways, the show that gains immunity is "Hairspray". The correct answer is: 14 nominations and 5 wins.
Now, from the list above, vote for the show you want ELIMINATED from the game.

Now, why if you win one day are you ineligible the next? On many other tv challenges...whoever gets the answer right wins no matter what...even if you've already won.

And, by the way, check your results, "Charity" only got 13 nominations so far at the TONYs. Not 14.
When i looked, I got 14 too.

Read carefully. "Charity" got 8 noms for the original production. And then, the 1986 revival got 5 noms and 1 THEATRE WORLD AWARD nom. That is NOT a Tony. If read quickly, it LOOKS like the revival had 6 TONY noms, but it only had 5. The results are inaccurate.
According to Tonyawards.com the nods/winners were:
1966 Nominee: Actor, Supporting or Featured (Musical) John McMartin (Sweet Charity)
1966 Nominee: Actress (Musical) Gwen Verdon (Sweet Charity)
1966 Nominee: Actress, Supporting or Featured (Musical) Helen Gallagher (Sweet Charity)
1966 Winner: Choreographer Bob Fosse (Sweet Charity)
1966 Nominee: Composer and Lyricist Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields (Sweet Charity)
1966 Nominee: Costume Designer Irene Sharaff (Sweet Charity)
1966 Nominee: Director (Musical) Bob Fosse (Sweet Charity)
1966 Nominee: Musical Sweet Charity. Book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields. Produced by Sylvia and Joseph Harris, Robert Fryer, and Lawrence Carr
1966 Nominee: Scenic Designer Robert Randolph (Anya, Skyscraper and Sweet Charity)
1986 Winner: Actor (Featured Role--Musical) Michael Rupert (Sweet Charity)
1986 Winner: Actress (Featured Role--Musical) Bebe Neuwirth (Sweet Charity)
1986 Nominee: Actress (Musical) Debbie Allen (Sweet Charity)
1986 Winner: Costume Designer Patricia Zipprodt (Sweet Charity)
1986 Winner: Reproduction (Play or Musical) Sweet Charity. Produced by Jerome Minskoff, James M. Nederlander, Arthur Rubin and Joseph Harris
Count 'em. And apologize. If you dont like the game, don't play!

I will not apologize. According to the Internet Broadway Database the 1966 "Charity" didn't get a costume nomination. So, you can't prove which is correct.
And how bout before you start this game you outline ALL the rules. I read the original post and there was nothing there about not being able to recieve immunity more than one consecutive time. You can't just make up rules as you go along. How about someone who's more organized run this?

(although I do question Avenue Q winning best musical)....but then again, I'm in the provinces....what the heck do I know? sigh
I believe the TONY AWARDS SITE rather than IBDB because the Tony Awards say 14.
