Imperial Seating/Edison Hotel

Two questions for you smart folk:
1.) How are the right and left sides of the Imperial? I'm looking for tickets for "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and that's the best I can do for the weekend I can go (about 10 seats from center aisle). I hear it's going to be hit, so I'd like to check it out.
2.) How is the Edison Hotel? It's really the only hotel I can find on such short notice (we usually stay at the Days Inn, but it's booked). The price seems good, but how are the rooms and such?
Thanks a lot!

As long as you stay midway back on the sides in the Imperial Theatre you should be fine.
As for the Edison, it's not The Trump Plaza but it is very clean and the Cafe Edison downstairs has good food at cheap prices and is considered a Broadway Institution.

The great thing about the Edison is its location. It's actually the perfect location to stay in. I've stayed there several times. The rooms are nothing to brag about, but if you're like me, you won't be spending much time in there anyway.
I would highly recommend the Edison. Plus, it has one of the nicest staffs in the city.
Enjoy!
