I'm planning to go to DRS next week. Are there any sections/seats to avoid at the Imperial theater? I'm trying to save a few pennies, so might opt for rear mezz. seats. Is this a mistake? Many thanks!

You have a wonderful view of the show from the rear mezz. Don't feel too far back and see everything.

The Imperial is such a small house, I'm not sure there's such a thing as a bad seat. I saw the show from the rear mezz and had no problems.

its a wide house though, not as bad as the ambassador my any means but esp with the mezz, watch the extreme sides

Depending on where you sit, you might miss some very minor things, but it's probably worth it if you want to save money. I saw The Boy from Oz at the same theater in the rear mezz (I think I was in row E and fairly off to the side). When he did the audience participation part, I couldn't see the audience members. (very minor spoiler is coming) A very small part of DRS takes place off of the stage, and it is conceivable that you might miss some of those few relatively unimportant seconds of action. (Someone who has actually seen DRS from the rear mezz would know better whether this is an actual or a theoretical problem.)

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

It is not a problem. There are 2 short moments that take place off the stage. The first one is nice to see to fully understand what it's all about, I heard the cd first and didn't get it from that, so that would be nice to see, but it is a small thing that has absolutely nothing to do with the 'big picture'. The second isn't that important to see, you'll get the hang of it even if you only hear the voice. re: Imperial Theater seating

The first time I saw it, I sat row B of rear mezz all the way on the right. You see everything, except you can see into the wings, which is slightly amusing.

And I've been able to see the action that takes place offstage from there as well.

And yaay for GB loving re: Imperial Theater seating
