In defense of "bad" seats...

I want to say a few words in defense of "bad" seats. I routinely take advantage of the various discount flyers and other various offers that frequently land me in seats in the hinterlands. I go to the theater expecting that my seats will suck. I get over it and proceed to enjoy whatever the show (sometimes aided by my trusty binoculars). Would I rather sit in the good seats? Absolutely. But the bottom line is that I can see two shows from the cheap seats for what I'd have otherwise spent. I still splurge now and then for something special, and sometimes I've end up with great seats even WITH the discount codes. I'm just saying that it's a perspective that has worked for me and allows me to see more shows.

I think that is a great idea. ANd I also have to say that if you are in the not so perfect seats... those great things that they give the old people are wonderful for listening to every breath and burb they perform. I use them anytiem I am there in a balcony or such.

Yea, just let me get inside the theater. I don't even care if I have a seat.

YES! The headphones for the hearing impaired (like me....one too many Led Zeppelin concerts in my younger days...mom was right; who knew?)...are extremely helpful. I discovered them after seeing The Crucible and not being able to understand a good chunk of what was being said. Fortunately, I know the play inside out, but still....
