Hey kids! Just thought I'd post the link to this article, which I found amazing and insightful, about my favorite of the Spamalot gang. I, for one, did not know he plans to return to the show after his scheduled time off, OR that he collects hazard pay for those crazy stilts.
Interesting:)

Love him. Love him. Love him. 'nough said.
He's brilliant. Anyone see the episode of Unscripted that he was on? He and friends were playing poker and he'd yell out "Helen!" and then his friend said "Buddy, she doesn't live here anymore. Messy divorce, remember?"
Really? How did I not see that episode. That's hysterical!

He's gorgeous... and uber-talented.
Anyone else enjoy seeing him shirtless on HUFF on Showtime?? *swoon*

I just saw the show. He was quite good. I didn't really enjoy it, though.
I want to have his baby! Heck, I want to have his litter!

i got him to do Moe for me at the stage door. it was so effing cool!
mef, you didn't really enjoy SPAMALOT, is that what you're talking about?
Yes, Munk, that's what I meant. I really didn't like "Spamalot." I LOVED Sara Ramirez...
I agree with you - no surprise there. I really think SPAMALOT will not fare well with critics, but I think the cast will. I thought Azaria, Borle, and Ramirez were OUTSTANDING, and the rest of the cast I can do without. I was very very disappointed with the show, and perhaps all the hype and grand advertising scheme will backfire.
I also don't think that it will get the reviews that people have been predicting. I am a die-hard "Monty Python" fan, but I sat there pretty much stone-faced throughout the whole show. The only time it really took flight was when the divine Ms. Ramirez-who will absolutely win Best Featured Actress-is onstage.

I'd like to praise the other Hank too. He was great in "Birdcage", and I can't wait to see Spamalot in April.

The article stated he will be out of the show from some time in June until "the holidays".
Does anyone know when in June and through what "holiday"?? I assume the holiday is memorial day. Does anyone know how far into June he will be performing. I have a ticket for June 18th.
Some article I read said "one to two months." I will try and find it and post a link.
Any other info? Any interviews with Curry?
LOVE LOVE LOVE them all! Hank, David, and Tim are just some really special people. Just genuinely nice guys.
I just saw the show over my spring break. My friend asked me if I met any 'hot guys' over the break. I said "Yes, His name is Hank. He is 40, a movie star, so I don't see it working out."
But I gotta show some love for David. I thought he was fab in his show stopping number!

the man is a comic genius! I love David Hyde Pierce as well, he's so good in everything he does. I loved him in Down With Love, he was so funny!
He is terrific and has a killer body. I am amazed at how great he looked in Along Came Polly.
Oh, Hank Azaria was soooooooooo awesome in Spamalot! He was especially hilarious in the French Taunter scene and the Knights Who Say 'Nee' scene.
And if Sara doesn't win Best Featured Actress, there is no justice in the world.

Alas, the only (print) interview I've found is from Newsday:

Of course, there's also the absolutely fabulous interview that aired on NPR...almost 40 fabulous minutes of Tim. A real, rare treat for any Curry fan. If you haven't listened, you NEED to do so!

Enjoy!
I am now free of doubt. I am going to marry Hank Azaria.
> that NPR interview was delightful :)
It really was. I've been following Tim Curry's career for many years, and have read and heard more interviews with him than I can count...and that was the first one in a very long time in which he actually said things I hadn't heard or read a million times before.
Kinda funny, it's Hank's first musical and he's getting all of this praise. I bet he'd get a kick outta knowing that people talk about him on Broadway message boards.
