Hey, a little search turned up this:

The IN THE HEIGHTS listings are pretty interesting. They were casting Usnavi at some point (guess Lin wasn't so sure about doing it) and called him a baritone, and-get this-gave him a last name (that also shows up in the "Camp Broadway Stage Notes"). They were looking to have Graffiti Pete and Piragua Guy played by the same person, and there's a very mysterious listing for a character named "Lincoln Rosario", apparently meant to be Nina's brother:
"A poet by heart, a lot of soul, a guy who cares & by nature always helps people out-think Marc Anthony at a young age. The voice of an angel. He would make his people proud."
lincoln was in the earlier stages of the show. way before it was off bway. i think he was also gay.
He was also supposed to be romantically involved with Benny, or at least romantically interested in him.

Usnavi's last name isn't really new information, just FYI. They said it in the show. When Nina is looking through the box of stuff before Everything You Know, she says the story was written by Usnavi De La Vega.
Those were really interesting to look at. Thanks.

Wait, they were going to have Benny be gay?
I'm not sure if Benny was meant to be gay/bi, or if this Lincoln Rosario character was just interested in him by himself. I know Lin has spoken about this early draft before, and it did include some version of a romantic triangle between Benny, Nina, and Lincoln.
NO the OP miss said it wrong. Lincoln has a secret crush on benny while Benny Likes Nina and as the plot goes further Nina says (Something along the lines of) " Don't fight with the only person that loves you more than i do."

That would just have been weird.
Anyone know about any other cut/changed stuff besides "No Me Meto" and "Hear Me Out"?
is there anywhere we can hear no me meto?
