I really enjoyed the first act and the premise of the show. Marin Ireland was fantastic as well.
But it was just too. damn. long. Two hours and forty five minutes? I'm not sure what Marin's side relationship with a woman had to do with it. I would've been keener on it if they would have just kept it the dynamic of the four of them, plus Tessa and Judy. And Marin's monologues that were interspersed in the scenes did nothing for the play at all. Those could be completely cut.
I haven't been seeing any opinions about this piece anywhere. Has anyone else seen it?

I saw it at Berkeley Rep last spring, and I really really liked it. I agree that it could have been shorter and some of the tangents seemed kinda odd, but it was a play that I kept thinking about for a long time afterward, and I think about some of its messages even now.
It's a "play that makes you think" and I thought some of the performances were just great. All in all, I give this one a thumbs up.
