I saw 4 different In My Life commericals. They must have bought up all the advertising time during Good Morning America. There was the original commercial, the 3 old ladies who loved it, the folks who loved Winston, and the 3 old ladies again.
Theyre pulling out all the stops for this show. A full page ad in today's times pulled out the most neutral reviews of all. they even found something decent in what Brantley said.

I just put that ad on the wall beside my desk at work. It is HYSTERICAL.
They've taken quotes (some favorable, some unfavorable) and made them all try to sound favorable. The Brantley one is especially amusing. You can tell it's a "but" statement.

Excerpts from the ad:
"Hurry on down to the Music Box Theatre. It's to die for." Terry Teachout, Wall Street Journal
"If you like your theater to be original, innovative, and fascinating, get to the Music Box. You have got to see it for yourself." Liz Smith
"Undoubtedly the most bizarre Broadway musical of the millennium. This schizophrenic show is one of those you have to see it to believe it experiences!" William Stevenson, Broadway.com
"How many musicals have the comic relief singing about a brain tumor dancing with a skeleton...." Michael Kuchwara
"It's true that In My Life does have jaw dropping moments of whimsy run amok....candy hearts on Valentine's Day." Ben Brantley
"The surprise hit of this or any other Broadway season. In My Life I have rarely seen something better!" David Richardson, WOR

I've seen A LOT of Broadway commercials lately, not sure why...Mostly for In My Life, Beauty and the Beast, and Piazza...ooh saw a woman in white the other day too...
In My Life has a whole commercial based solely around the flamboyant angel (haven't seen the show yet not quite sure who the character is)...And they force people to comment about him..."Oh yeah in NYC... Everyone has a friend like him!"
