James Barbour was a much better singer than Hayden, but was not Hayden's equal in the acting department.

I also saw Marcus Lovett in the role of Billy when both Hayden and his understudy Duane Boutté fell ill. Lovett, if I recall correctly, had to have his lines piped into his ear as he had just stepped out of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA to become the emergency Billy when both contracted Billys were out of commission.
