Indina and Kristin

I saw Wicked last night, and I like many, found myself in a state of absoloute awe. Indina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth were amazing, and actually better than the Wicked recording! I was curious if anyone found info of the two speaking about their vocal technique in an interview, etc... Please email me if you know of any sites that would carry this info, or perhaps where I could contact either of them.

I had the opportunity to see Kristin perform with Eden Espinoza in June when Idina was shooting a film. I too was blown away by the vocal power of both female leads. Aside from that - Kristin's acting ability really stood out to me at that particualr performance. Glad you enjoy the show - I'll email you a couple sites you might find interesting.

Yes, it's Idina. Actually, wasn't her original name different? I think she changed the spelling of it at some point, but it must've been before Rent or I would remember... or maybe I'm crazy.

insomniak - Her name was originally Idina Mentzel. She took out the "t" before RENT.

According to IMDb, she was originally "Adena Mentzel".

I'm guessing that she changed her first name so that people would be able to spell and pronounce it properly.
As we can see from this thread, IDINA was wrong.

Wow, I always thought Idina was tall but from that link ~FloweryFriend~ but up it says that she is only 5'4". That's how tall I am. I guess I just always thought she was 5'7" or something. It must be that next to Kristin she looks tall:P

(makes her name sound similar to mine: "EYE-uh")

Her name is pronounced "Ih-DEE-na," with a short "i," like in "Wicked." "Eye-dee-nah" is incorrect.
