Inherit the Wind - 1955 Opening Night Review

Hey all,
I'm sorta looking for some help on something. My english class is reading Inherit the Wind, and we need to write an analytical paper on it. My topic is going to be how Hollywood screenplay writers and Broadway dramatists often reinterpret historical events to reflect the ideals and tastes of the eras in which they are produced. For example, Inherit the Wind, while based on the Scopes Trial, is really a comment on McCarthyism. I will be comparing Inherit the Wind to other plays such as Chicago, which was based on an actual murder case and was reinterpreted into a sexy show that commented on the synicism of the time and also paralled the high profile trials of the time (revival - O.J. simpson); and Evita, in which Eva Peron, who practically drove her country into bankruptcy, was portrayed in the original London production (not the Broadway production, mind you) as a saint and a martyr; among other plays and movies as well.

Now, to have proper research for my paper, I really need a copy of a review of the Original production of Inherit the Wind, from any reputable newspaper. The opening night was April 21, 1955, so the reviews will probably date April 22 of that same year. I found one in the New York Times archive, but a TimesSelect membership is needed or you need to pay 5 bucks to read it. I'm a poor student and I don't even have a credit card to sign up for a free TimesSelect trial, so if anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

Also, if anyone has any other examples of plays that fit my topic, please leave your ideas. Thanks :)
