Didn't a member of this board who claims to have spent time with Mr Herman once tell us that Jerry dispises the film version of "TWHM?"

I'm curious if they regained the color intensity.
Deluxe Color is but a poor substitute for good old saturated pop-your-eyes-out Technicolor.

Jerry Herman to appear at special screening of Hello Dolly! in L.A. January 24
Out Broadway legend Jerry Herman will make an appearance January 24 at Los Angeles's American Cinematheque for a discussion following a screening of a new 70-millimeter Todd-AO print of Hello Dolly! The film will screen as part of the Cinematheque's "Fourth Great Big 70mm Festival." Herman will also be signing copies of his new book, Jerry Herman: The Lyrics at 4 p.m., prior to the 5 p.m. film screening.
