I was wanting to find some good online reading material related to Broadway and theatre in general. I got to thinking about it after I found that great photo-essay on the building of the Ford Center and Ragtime. Does anyone have any links to websites that are great reading for other Broadway lovers out there? I am not thinking of fan sites with pictures of your favorite performers, I am thinking more along the lines of the creation of a show, the building of a theatre, great interviews with people who are legends in their craft. (Costume design, stage design, choreographers, broadway legends, etc....) Anything theatre related that could be of interest to someone else. Post the link here. (As much as many of you love your individual performers and certain shows this is not a thread meant for you to gush and put their official websites.)

I can mention several great books on assembling a musical:
THE AMAZING STORY OF THE FANTASTICKS by Robert Viagas & Donald Farber
THE MAKING OF NO NO NANETTE by Don Dunn
THE MAKING OF A MUSICAL: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF by Richard Altman
EVERYTHING WAS POSSIBLE by Ted Chapin
Garson Kanin wrote a roman a clef, SMASH, about his experiences directing and being sacked from FUNNY GIRL, and there was in the mid-1970s a thinly-veiled novel about the production of FOLLIES, of which I remember neither author nor title.
