Here's my interview with Gavin Lee who has been playing Bert in
Mary Poppins in the National Tour at Kennedy Center. He'll be returning to the Broadway cast in a few weeks. Hope you like it.

Thanks, I read that earlier thanks to a link the Kennedy Center provided on Facebook. Great interview. I had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Lee briefly after the performance I attended on July 9 -- such a lovely man. I had the privilege of seeing his performance in London, twice, and was very glad to see him in the role again on this side of the pond.

Thanks so much. Was there anything different in his performance in London?

I think he was doing a bit more of breaking the fourth wall so to speak. I was at the "Theatre Look in" that the Kennedy Center hosted with Gavin, Caroline Sheen, Laird Mackintosh and Blythe Wilson in July and Gavin brought that up. Bert is the link so to speak with the audience into the goings on.
