Laura Michelle Kelly recently sat down with Theatremania to speak about returning to Mary Poppins. She really did feel like her time to play the part again had come and gone, but she was so happy to gets the chance to play the role again on Broadway. She also taks about her previous work such as her part in the film "Sweeny Todd" and doing "Speed the Plow" in London.

"Starring in?" Was she not the beggar woman? She did get some nice screen time but I wouldn't say it's a starring role...


I just may have to head back to the New Amsterdam to see her.

Thrilled LMK seems to be a popular Mary on Broadway! I really enjoyed her performance in the London production. It's a shame she didn't go to Broadway with Gavin Lee. I really don't rate Ashley Brown in the role at all.
