Posted: 11/19/06 at 10:05pmI'm ashamed to admit that I do not own the recording and need a little bit of help. Can someone if you have time just give me a quick run down of which character sings what song? And which characters if any are belters? Thanks.

Posted: 11/19/06 at 10:32pmI would definitely not classify the Baker's Wife as a belter's role. I think if anything, the role most suited for a belter is Little Red.

I disagree...The Baker's Wife is a Mezzo with a belt...or at least not soprano-y....
the witch could be a belter, and Little Red is a character belt I think....

Posted: 11/20/06 at 12:07amI really think that any of the characters CAN be belters if that's how they are portrayed, but please, please, don't belt just because you can. Your performance will be much more meaningful if you do justice to the role, not to your own voice.
