So...today my friend purchased the OBC DVD.
Umm...I had such high hopes for it. Im not sure if its that I am tired or what.
I really was not moved at all? And really hated the opening number....I wish one. It was annoying and I felt the lyrics were odd and did not have a flow.
I mean I loved No One is Alone...but who doesn't
I don't know. Ill watch it when I wake up and see I change...
Now Im off to dodge the flying food.
Ill post my second round watchings tomorrow.

Where do people get these DVDs? I think theres some method that I'm completely missing.
The Into the Woods original cast DVD is available at fine stores and internet outlets everywhere.
Play-I got SITPWG, ITW, Passion, Pippin, Candide, and The Producers dvds all from Amazon. It'll blow your mind!
I'm just so happy that it was available to buy in the first place. ITW is one of my favorites, maybe you were really really tired. Go watch it again and come back with a different answer.

I've been to three different Barnes & Noble's but none of them had Into the Woods. One of them Sunday in the Park though.
Looks like I'll be on Amazon tonight.
Play-I just noticed when you joined, lol. Welcome to the boards!

Play,Amazon.com is a great place for DVD's, as others have pointed out. If you're strapped for cash, do a price comparison with several outlets. Sometimes you can get really excellent discounts from different vendors. If you're near a Saturday Matinee store, they used to also have a decent selection, though I haven't been in one for a while.
Also, welcome and enjoy!
This is my favorite show but NOT the show to watch when youre tired. You need to hang on to almost every word to understand.
And Sondheim is a very specific taste. His lyrics don't often have a flow - he is often criticized for not being hummable enough. He concentrates more on the words and emotions than hummability, whcih is why I adore him but also why many people don't.
