I just read that Raisin in the Sun got back its investment. It seems like most shows these days close without recouping their original investment. I was wondering what shows that are on Broadway now have recouped their original investments?

Wicked, I am assuming. Since it makes over 1 mil. a week and invested 14. Um, I am not sure what else. Sorry.

Actually....I think I read the only shows this season to make back their investment so far are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Raisin, and...Avenue Q.

You have to take into account weekly running costs as well as advertising budgets and other ongoing costs before you start returning money to investors.

"Wicked" hasn't announced that it's recouped yet, though grossing $1 million a week, it must be very close.

Wicked has not recouped its investment yet. It's making as much as it can, but it's a very expensive show to run.
