I know some people are in the movie, but are there parts even significant or is it just like extras?

It's worth seeing becaue Ricky Gervais is one of the funniest people alive!

He makes nothing out of something with this film, and it's fun just to watch him.

I recal spotting Julia Murney, Brad Oscar, and Brian D'arcy James all in bit parts. Fun if you know who they are.

Were there any more?

P.S. The scenes with Kristin Wiig (from SNL) are among some of the funniest! She's great!

Yeah. The only other one I know of is Aaron Tveit because I saw it in his bio when I saw him in Wicked. I figured there was some sort of Brian D'arcy James - Next to Normal connection going on.

It honestly was such a great movie on it's own.
It was funny and very touching.

Absolutely. It's a terrific movie to begin with. When you add the fact that it's a spot that Broadway star scavenger hunt, it becomes even better. The perfect rental.

If you enjoyed Ricky Gervais as David Brent then you'll certainly enjoy this movie.

Uck, I hate Ricky Gervais. I think he's a very talented writer and I enjoy watching things he's written for (and is in), but I can't stand HIM.

But then, this wouldn't be the worst film I've watched for Broadway cameos. I mean, it CAN'T be any worse than 'Marci X', right? Although at least Boyz R Us totally made 'Marci X' worth it...

Yes, it made the movie incredibly fun for the cameos every 5 seconds. I adored it. :)

All the people I recognized: Julia Murney, Brian d'Arcy James, Brad Oscar, Deborah S. Craig, Aaron Tveit, Dequina Moore, Sebastian Lacause, Lisa Datz, James Ludwig, Dana Ivey

There could be more.... Updated On: 11/23/08 at 10:53 AM

I looked it up on IMDB and Michael Leon Wooley (Little Shop of Horrors) and Sebastian LaCause (The Rocky Horror Show) are in this too. Of course I knew about Michael from watching the trailer.

It's worth seeing because it is a wonderful, hilarious, touching movie.
But it is also cool to watch Julia Murney walk by and sneeze

I like Mr. Ricky G. as well. I missed his HBO special and I wish they'd repeat it. I'll def. Netflix this when it comes out.

Agreed with the majority. My husband and I went into it thinking it would be nothing special or, worse yet, bad given the trite premise, but decided to see it anyway since we love Ricky Gervais and the reviews were surprising good. We were really amazed at how much we enjoyed it.
