in the article there is no mention of Lynn Ahrens. Is he pulling a Richard Rodgers "no strings" show? I wonder what ms. Ahrens is up to, and why she is not mentioned in the article, because I think her lyrics are so intelligently formed, and she really puts the heart into his songs.

Why do people talk about links in their posts, but not actually post the link.

Aherns & Flaherty are my absolute favorites. Their scores are just so involving, you really get drawn in, even on the first listen. Speaking of, I'm listening to Ragtime right now. Love it.

Yes, he's Ahrens-less for Loving Repeating because all the lyrics are written by Gertrude Stein. However, the project after that, Glorious Ones, they're working together again.

It's NOT a new project. It was produced at Northwestern University (where Galati teaxches) in 3003 under the title "A Long Gay Book". The three leading women (Gertude, Alice and Young Gertrude)were all in the Northwestern production.

Lynn's done work on her own with other composers - like Alan Menken (A Christmas Carol)

No it is not new in the sense that it has never been done before. But there are large amount of changes and collaborations that have happened because of this new version with About Face.

I just like Lynn Ahrens alone. Why doesn't she compose music more often? She is responsible for most of the catchy Schoolhouse Rock melodies, along with Bob Dorough. She's the only person I know who can put the Preamble of the Constitution to music.
