In this newly discovered Mark Twain comedy, the original master of American humor dishes out a sly critique of the art world with acerbic wit and social commentary well ahead of his time. Is He Dead? is a fast-paced play about a struggling artist who stages his own death to drive up the price of his paintings. As the riotous scheme unfolds, Twain poses daring questions about fame, greed and the value of art, and pokes his signature, mischievous fun at everyone involved.
Adapted by David Ives (All in the Timing), directed by two-time Tony Award winner Michael Blakemore (Noises Off) and starring Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Mark Twain's Is He Dead? is a landmark Broadway premiere and a chance to experience the never-before-seen

Rock N' Roll on TDF now !
Winner of the London Evening Standard and London Critics Circle Theatre Awards for Best New Play last season, Tom Stoppard's ROCK 'N' ROLL is coming to Broadway. It is set in August 1968, and Russian tanks are rolling in to Prague. Jan, the Czech student, lives for rock music, Max, the English professor, lives for Communism and Esme, the flower child, is high. By 1990, the tanks are rolling out, the Stones are rolling in and idealism has hit the wall. A deeply felt look at the connection between rock music and revolution, Stoppard's sweeping and witty play spans two countries, three generations and twenty-two turbulent years, at the end of which love remains - and so does rock 'n' roll. This production features members of the original London company, including Brian Cox, Sinad Cusack and Rufus Sewell (winner of the Olivier, London Evening Standard and London Critics Circle Awards for his performance), along with Nicole Ansari and Alice Eve, under the direction of Trevor Nunn. ROCK n ROLL received its world premiere at London's Royal Court as part of the theatres 50th Anniversary celebration and subsequently transferred to the Duke of Yorks Theatre for a sold-out run. The premiere of ROCK n ROLL marks the 40th anniversary since Stoppard was first introduced to Broadway audiences with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. PLEASE NOTE: ALL SEATING IS IN THE REAR MEZZANINE.

and
Cymbeline too !
In this new Broadway production, the cast of 26 includes Jonathan Cake (Medea), Tony Award Winner Michael Cerveris (Assassins, Sweeney Todd), Tony Award Winner John Cullum (Shenandoah, On the Twentieth Century), Tony Award nominee Martha Plimpton (Coast of Utopia), John Pankow (Twelve Angry Men) and Tony Award Winner Phylicia Rashad (A Raisin in the Sun) under the direction of Mark Lamos (Seascape, The Rivals.) One of William Shakespeares most unusual and spectacular plays, the late Romance CYMBELINE combines comedy, tragedy and history into an epic tale of power and magic. This is a story of a magical kingdom ruled by a wicked queen with a Lear-like monarch lost to her spell, a clown who becomes a monster, a good-hearted husband wracked with doubts about his wifes fidelity and a luminous heroine around whom the whole play swirls like designs in a Persian carpet. A Lincoln Center Theater presentation, the play creates a world never before seen but in dreams a world of shipwrecks, magical banquets, characters inexplicably becoming winged gods descending on the backs of eagles.
