I wanted to take my little sister and I was wondering if it is a PG show?

Thanks so much.

Yes, I've seen children as young as 7 there.

They imply that one character is gay at the end, but it's only for 1 second, (I don't know if you're family is homophobic), and they say **** like once, but I think that's it.

...they imply that a character is gay?

Is that meant to be a warning of some sort? What do you mean by that?

If suicidalmickeymouse's family is not comfortable with homosexuality, (I doubt that they are), they should know. It's just a heads-up, I wanted to provide her with ANYTHING that could be objectionable.

It can't be more objectionable than any of your posts.

Again - associating being gay with being objectionable?

Some people think that it is. I don't, but you never know if you're talking to a Christian Fundamentalist.

Personally, I would take a 10 year old to Mamma Mia! I see nothing wrong with homosexuality. However, there are still some people that see it as strange, unnatural, odd, or weird. I don't know if suicidalmickeymouse is like that, and I wouldn't want her to get mad at me for recommending a show that she was uncomfortable with.

Have your friend stand outside the Winter Garden and if they feel they relate to the types of people holding tickets, then it's okay. Personally, I think the show is a big piece of crap :)

Who the heck knows...

Anyway, to answer your question - it's a fun show. There's nothing offensive about it. Go and enjoy the music and the dancing!

It is fine. She might wonder why the girl could have three fathers, so as long as you're comfortable explaining that part to her. Compared to what she probably sees on t.v. or online, it is very mild. Just a silly show with fun music and dancing and some sexual innuendo that will go over her head.
Enjoy!
