Is anybody else trying to get Producers tix?

What a nightmare! I've been trying since 9am and my computer is completely locked and I've been hitting redial on my phone constantly. My fingers are sore!

On all the boards, the message is the same:

NOBODY has been able to get through.

Cute ad in the NY TIMES, though. Barry is convinced Nathan has gotten "work done" , but when would he have had the time to do so?! Looks more like gentle airbrushing to me.

same thing here. this is as bad as when i tried for tkts for "Our Town" in Conneticut.**** done the whole phone system. Are tkts on sale on Bway or only by phone/web for Amex holders? Wonder what THAT line will look like!

phone ... i just tried internet and it was working also. i waitied til about 7am in vegas or 10am nyc and it went right thru no problems.

I agree with you Maggie. It is nuts. It is only a show & not a matter of life & death. Even if I had not seen it, I would not being jumping through hoops to see this or any show

I've seen Nathan & Matthew already and they were excellent. I would love to see them again but it won't kill me if I don't. The only reason I'm going bananas is becaues one of my friends really wants to see it and can't get tix today because she's at the Giants game so she asked me to do it.

i dont know how i got lucky i guess i just did. the seats they had arent the best so you really arent missing anything. im going to try for more when general tix go on sale.

We got through about 1:30 on the phone... computer is a waste of time, the web site can't handle all the traffic. I tried this morning, gave up, and waited till later.

But we got tickets! Row P- second to last row orch. on the left side, about 3 seats from the end. Could be worse.

If you do get through, I recommend asking for a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night... they'll only look up ONE show for you, and chances are better on those nights, I think...

As good as it is that Nathan and Matthew are going back into The Producers, it's reasons like this that makes me want to wish it would just close due to lack of sales. It's like 'yeah, we're gonna sell out anyway so we don't need to look up more than one performance'. Grrr..

Yeah, JakeB, it was pretty irritating. I was sitting on the couch calling out to my husband 'I don't want to see it THAT bad!'. We just lucked out- after I couldn't get in online this morning, we went out for a few hours and then tried again when we got home, and he got through on the phone on his second try- if that hadn't worked we would have quit at that point.

This almost makes up for 'Boy from Oz' screwing up my birthday on Dec. 24th by cancelling the matinee performance I had 10th row seats to!

They can only look up one performance at a time...you can have them check different dates. That's what Alex meant.

So after spending all of Sunday hitting the redial button on my phone I FINALLY got through to Telecharge at around 4:00...mind you I had been trying since 9:00! I ended up with rear mezzanine seats which is fine...just to hear Nathan and Matthew is worth it in my opinion.
I also had to get a set for my girlfriend but Telecharge wouldn't process 2 separate transactions for me so I had to hang up and keep trying....which I did and I didn't get through for her until the next morning around 10:30....and I was at work!
Nathan, if you're reading this....I hope you appreciate my efforts!

When I finally got through 36 hours later, all that was available were tickets in the rear mezz. and to the sides. I've seen the show enough times with Nathan and Matthew, so I declined the tickets. The ticket agent said there were NO orchestra tickets left for the rest of their run in the show except for $600 seats on New Year's Eve and of course the Inner Circle $480 tix. I'm really wondering if their allotment of orchestra seats are sold and more will be available this Sunday. I'm irritated seeing tickets pop up on eBay at outrageous prices. How did THEY get their tickets?

On the Broadway boards, the 'return' is generating an awfully large amount of bad blood. Already.

I do think it is amusing that the three elements involved - the show, Nathan, Matthew - do not generate half as much hysteria when seen seperately.

My girlfriend gave me her information on her AE Gold card. I started calling 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning and it is 48 hours later and I am still trying. I can't believe the phone is busy all that time. I am disgusted and really not interested in the tickets any more.
