But you guys, he needs the cash so he can pay however many hundreds of dollars a ticket to Spring Awakening's closing is going to cost him.

How about this, coolkid: I'll go camp out for Spring Awakening's last.
And then I'll sell you the ticket for $200 each.
Oh wait, Is that legal?

thanks Bundy! I've gotten more compliments on my avatar in the last 30 minutes than i have in the two years Ive been on this board lol
Really dumb, and illegal. Besides, the tickets have the prices they cost on them, so only someone really dumb would buy them off of you.

That's like beating a tired, desperate-to-please father for the last Wii in the middle of a snowy night, and then immediately putting it on eBay for twice what you paid for it.
If someone was taking away your possible lotto tickets by doing this, you'd flip a ****, I'd guarantee it.
My advice? GET A JOB.
Not to give support to the idea, but people do it all the time. It is not illegal as long as you are a "small volume" scalper. (I dont know what the exact number is but a pair of lotto tickets would not qualify you a large volume scalper) However like previously mentioned you can not be within 500 feet of any public entrance (the front of the theatre). So if your going to do it, go stand by the TKTS booth.
There was a thread a long time ago about when Jersey boys had rush there were 2 people who were in line every single day and then sold the tickets to a hotel concierge for a marked up priced. Presumably the hotel then sold them for even more.
