... that in the days following the Tony Awards, no shows posted closing notices?
I realize The Woman in White suffered a dismal fate, but in the past few years, I recall that after certain shows didn't take home any awards, they posted closing notices within a day or so of the Sunday night telecast.
All I've been hearing is shows (The Wedding Singer, Drowsy Chaperone, The Color Purple, etc.) doing BETTER at the box office.
I certainly am excited about this upward trend... I wonder how long some of the shows that got fairly negative reviews and were holding out for the Tonys will last.

This as actually a good point, DT. PAJAMA GAME already planned to close and reopen in September, and THREEPENNEY OPERA is closing the 25 as well if I am not mistaken.
But all I have heard is good, upward trends at the box offices.

The Wedding Singer might have actually been saved form closing now because of it's great performance at the Tonys (even though it did not win a single award).
A lot of people talked about TWS, so it might actually do well this summer.
